Nicole Migliore - Trumpet
Nicole is from Cheltenham, PA, and now calls Lancaster, PA her home. She holds a degree in music performance from Millersville University, where she studied trumpet with Dr. N Keith Wiley. As a student, Nicole had the opportunity to perform in masterclasses both on campus and on brass retreats with artists including Rodney Marsalis, Demondrae Thurman, Timothy Hudson, and Alison Balsom. She also premiered an electro-acoustic piece for trumpet and bass clarinet composed by Rusty Banks, which explored the affects of delay and other effects on acoustic instruments.
Outside of Big Fat Meanies, Nicole has performed with a variety of groups and ensembles, including the Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass, the Chamber orchestra of Philadelphia, Benevolence Brass quintet, musical theater pits, and most recently, Matches- a Lancaster-based funk band.
